Mission Statement:
State College Christian Church exists to magnify God's Name, by bringing people to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to membership in His family, the church, in order to develop them to Christ-like maturity, and to equip them for their ministry in the church and for the mission in the world.

Vision Statement:
We believe that a great commitment to the great commandment and the great commission will grow a great church. (Matthew 22:36-40 & 28:19-20)

Statement of Faith:
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, and that the New Testament is the only authoritative guide for the church on earth today. We believe that Salvation is by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ...
Ephesians 2:8: "For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, that no one can boast."

We believe that everyone who confeses that Jesus is Lord and believes that God has raised Him from the dead, will be saved. Romans 10:9: "That if you confess with your mouth that 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

We believe that every person who has confessed Jesus Christ as Lord will repent of their sins and will be obedient to Christian Baptism by immersion as was the practice of the New Testament Church in the book of Acts.

Acts 2:38 & 41: Peter replied: "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins will be forgiven, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." "Those who accepted His message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day."

Acts 16:33: "At that hour of the nignt the jailer took them and washed their wounds, then immediately he and his family were baptized."

We, at S.C.C.C., require nothing more or less for church membership than the Bible requirements for salvation. We believe in the observance of the Lord's Supper every Lord's Day.

Acts 20:7 "On the first day of the week we came together to break bread."

We govern ourselves without any interference from church offices or headquarters elsewhere. The only ties which bind us together are those of faith and fellowship. We have two common goals:

    • The restoration of the church of the New Testament in doctrine and practice in our lives today...

    • The unity of all people under the authority of Christ and his Word...
